Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion.
You may feel burnout because...
You have a never-ending to-do list.
You feel you are failing.
You feel you don't have control over your life.
You are a part of the "sandwich generation".
You have to be a superhero to everyone.
Research has found that high levels of burnout are closely linked to the level of dependency required by your loved one and how long you remain a caregiver.
(Ali et al., 2024; Johns Hopkins Medicine, n.d.-a; UnitedHealthcare, n.d.)
Increase your self-care practices

Caring for yourself will directly improve the quality of life for the person you are caring for.
